Residents thinking about adopting an animal from the Carroll County Animal Shelter will have an extra incentive throughout the entirety of July. All that month, adoption fees will be slashed as part of an effort to put more deserving cats and dogs in local homes.

As it stands, the adoption fee for a dog is $115, and for a cat, the fee is $95. For this, animals are either spayed or neutered. They’re given the necessary vaccinations, and they’re microchipped.
